Mardy Fish's win over David Ferrer to reach the semifinals at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami will have him ranked higher than fellow American, Andy Roddick, for the first time.

Andrea Petkovic used her Six.One Team BLX to reach the semi-finals after defeating world #1 Wozniacki. Petkovic ended Wozniacki’s eight-match winning streak and became the first German woman to beat a reigning world No. 1 since Steffi Graf rallied past Martina Hingis in the 1999 French Open final, and the first to reach the Miami quarters since Anke Huber in 2001. Her run takes her ranking to #19 in the world.
